Welcome to North Staffs Rowing Club's Junior Section, a friendly and supportive community for young rowers from Year 8 (J13) to Year 13 (J18).
Inclusivity: We encourage participation for both girls and boys, maintaining strong links with local schools.
Skill Development: Dedicated to teaching and developing rowing skills in line with British Rowing standards.
Fitness and Confidence: Focus on building fitness and confidence both on and off the water.
Qualified Volunteers: Enthusiastic volunteers with British Rowing coaching qualifications.
Safety First: All coaches undergo DBS checks to ensure participants' safety and well-being.
Welfare Policies: Active safety, welfare, and child protection policies in place.
Year-Round Water Training: Main sessions on Saturday mornings.
Summer Evenings: Additional water sessions midweek.
Winter Fitness: Indoor rowing-related fitness training on Tuesday evenings at a local gym.
Regional & National Levels: Compete at both regional and occasionally national events.
Parental Involvement: Encourages support from parents and carers to create a positive environment.
